Concept & Information

The Cooperative Concept, as outlined in Senate Bill 168,  would simply establish an implementation or business plan for a member-owned Colorado Health Care Cooperative, at no cost to taxpayers, and put it to a vote first by the Legislature and, if they approve, to a vote by all Coloradans.  Rather than wait for legislators, the 2012 strategy is to proceed with the development of the business plan and then present the results to the legislature and voters.

Coloradans deserve the opportunity to provide input into the design, to evaluate the details, and to understand the advantages of a uniquely Colorado plan for controlling costs while providing accessible health care for all residents.
Coloradans have a tradition of seeing into the future and creating the prosperity and quality of life that pro-active planning allows.
